- Antique Boulle Inlay Table Desk Napoleon III Imperial Neoclassical Style
Unique Boulle Inlay Table made in the times and style of Napoleon III, third quarter of the 19th century. Richly decorated French ormolu-mounted, with sophisticated metal fittings and lovely inlaid brass decorations. Standing on fluted legs decorated with metal inlays. The clean and classical design and motifs of the Louis XVI style are inspired by the reign of Louis XVI of France and initially corresponded with a re-emergence of interest in Neoclassical art, philosophy, and culture, a return to the grand style of the popular monarch Louis XIV conferring an air of grand, stately elegance.
No damage and changes in the original colour and style. Complete, original, not replenished inlay. Hair cracks in polychrome (visible in the pictures), without damaging the aesthetics of the item.
